About Jessie....

Jessie bridal florist with her husband Ash

" The best thing about my job is the number of different people I meet, and the many and varied and different ideas they have. Every wedding should be unique, however large or small, and I get huge satisfaction from interpreting a bride's tentative list of likes and dislikes, to create the perfect floral fit for them.

My personal preference is for a very natural loosely-styled effect, with a strong use of tendrils, a range of natural textures, and - working within the seasons - local-sourced foliages, from rosehips and larch boughs, to spring blossoms, sedge grasses and autumnal seedheads. If I had the choice, every bride's bouquet would be slightly over-sized and conspicuously opulent! My distinct eye for colour enables me to create eye-catching and interesting palettes with a natural lean towards antique, muted and unusual spectrums.

However, like any good florist, my skills and artist's eye are transferable to ensure that a bride's personal taste's and preferences are the priority, and every wedding that I work on is unique, with bespoke designs dreamt up purely for that day. I have no formula, and adapt my work to suit the style and look required.

As well as maintaining long-held relationships with the best cut-flower growers and suppliers from Holland, South America & Africa, I also have strong links with local growers throughout Dorset, working hard to ensure that we always have the perfect mix of flowers and foliage to inspire.

The range of briefs that I am required to work on, and the general variety of my work, coupled with keeping a close eye on current trends, ensures that my drive and excitement about wedding flowers is perpetually being revisited and renewed, so that you can be assured of a florist who is genuinely excited about your ideas, and who will go that extra mile to deliver truly memorable florals for your day."
