The perfect summery supplier collaboration, resulting in some glorious pictures.

Being involved in a collaborative photo-shoot is always exciting. Mainly because - similar to an haute-couture fashion show - I am given (within reason!) free reign to really push the boat out and create something more 'out there', innovative, oversized or spectacular than I might perhaps be asked to make everyday; I find that real-life brides still tend to play things just a little bit safe, however flamboyant their personality, as there is such a lot riding on their big day. But there is no holding back at a photoshoot. More than that, it is just so refreshing and freeing to be following each design entirely where your hands and eyes take it, rather than working prescriptively from an order on a piece of paper. All the suppliers come together to create a look that pushes the given brief to it's outer limits.... and I think this shoot can be described perfectly as 'dreamy'.

The shoot was held inside the beautiful venue that is Knighton House, and so many thanks must go to Lucy at the house for her help with advance organising and also on the day itself.

I was pleased and proud to be able to use entirely local English Grown flowers and foliage for this shoot, with the majority being picked by my own fair hands with the wonderful Rachel at Coombe Blooms - such a joy to wander round her large plot, which really gave me all the inspiration I needed.

I chose to create two 'looks' to give the shoot variety - the first being a large blousy bouquet with a simple but architectural hair-flower, and the second a more sheaf-like modest bouquet with a 'show-off' flower crown featuring those gorgeous 'Hot Chocolate' garden roses which took the look maybe a little more towards late summer or autumn. I feel that both worked out really well and had their individual merits.

I won't ramble on any longer as I feel that the pictures really speak for themselves. But I have been pleased to share with you a little of the more 'showcase' side of my work. Back to the real weddings from the past summer next, I promise ;-) - J
